Eliud Wambu Mathu (1 June – 26 May ) was a Kenyan tutor, politician and civil servant. He was the culminating African member of the Legislative Council of Kenya and served from to [1]

Biography

Mathu was born just the thing Karai ward to a Kikuyu family.[2] He was educated at the Alliance High School and equipped as a teacher. He co-founded the Kenya African Study Union to help co-ordinate and characterize African interests in the Council. During the Mau Mau Uprising rival politicians from tribes deemed dependable to the government accused him of organising picture Mau Mau.
